Beautiful and functionalFeb 19, 2009
By long tall Sally A wonderful product. I am on my third 9" Wolfard lamp, the previous two having gotten broken accidentally. Does that tell you something? Not as dangerous as an open flame candle and the oil burns for a really long time before having to refill. One of my favorite things!

Wonderful, much better than candlesJan 20, 2008
By SnouterShooter I live in a mountainous area that has frequent power failures, meaning that there are at least a few "electricity-free" evenings every winter when the lines go down. We've used a Wolfard 9" oil lamp for years, and it has been much better than candles or stinky kerosene or white gas mantle-type lanterns. The Wolfard has no drippy wax and no odor, makes no noise, and burns for a very, very long time--at least 3 evenings--between refills. Highly recommended!
Elegant and attractiveMay 05, 2011
By Joan Josep This oil lamp is a very original design, elegant and attractive. The openings in the bottom produce an upward air flow that helps to produce a very stable flame. But beware. It has a relatively small footprint. The first one I purchased died of a tipover, so I bought a second one, and have placed it on a stable base. I recommend this item.
