The glass lamp is well made and seems likely to survive years of use, but only after years of use will I know whether the glass was well-tempered. It looks good and works just fine. Extra wicks and extra glass wick-holders are surprisingly expensive, and so is the recommended oil. The oil does burn with a long flame without giving off smoke or soot, but the price is about 10 times the cost of the actual oil at wholesale (admittedly a tank car load.) Shipping is on top of this.

Was desperate to replace the oil lamp which I inadvertently knocked over and broke - this after decades of being one of my wife's favorite pieces, the new Oil Lamp is a perfect match for the remaining we have, it arrived on time and efficiently and I only have good words and thanks to both Amazon and Wolfard, excellent product, excellent service, thank you
