Beautiful candle--package not as described.May 29, 2009

This is a beautiful candle. I bought it as a gift for a friend for Christmas, 2009 and I can't wait for her to open it. Very unique.
My only criticism is that the description of the item says that it comes packed in a decorative crate. It does not. It just comes with all parts packed in a shipping box with bubble wrap. I contacted Amazon.com and told them about the discrepancy and they, in turn, contacted the company that makes the candle. I was promised that a crate would be sent out in the mail. I never received it. And it has been months. Amazon also told me that they would remove the reference to the packing crate from the item's description since the manufacturer didn't include it with a purchase on Amazon.com. However, the description has not changed.
Still, the candle is gorgeous and will still make a great gift--I just wish it had come packaged as advertised.

I ordered this candle as a Christmas gift for my dad. It is a beautiful centerpiece for our coffee table. When lit, the coloring is gorgeous, and the oil lasts longer than I thought it would. I would recommend this candle!
